I lived in Maracaibo, Zulia from 1958 to 1982. The thought that we can share information on this wonderful country is fantastic. Eric M.

Zulia as an independent nation?[edit]

Per the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Independent Republic of Zulia an article that claimed this state had been a separate country was redirected here. The discussion revealed that there has been some talk of separate status in reliable sources; they are placed here so that a knowledgable editor can review them, and if appropriate expand this article.
